Coast2Coast Trail CP 4 Hindhede Drive - Adam Road Food Center (2020)

The Coast-to-Coast Trail is a 36 km trail that spans across Singapore. Stretching from Jurong Lake Gardens in the west to Coney Island Park in the northeast, it will take users through a variety of parks, park connectors, nature areas, places of interest and urban spaces. Some of these include Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in central Singapore, and Sengkang Riverside Park, in the northeast of our island.

CP 4 Adam Road Food Center

Adam Road Food Center - It may be small in size, but it’s big on food, housing some reputable stalls. Favourites include the famous nasi lemak, prawn noodles, Indian rojak, mee rebus, mee soto and mutton soup.

Adam Park estate where black & white houses (Heritage bungalows) - A mostly British residential neighborhood with a grisly past — it was once the battle site between the British and Japanese forces and a Prisoner of War (POW) camp.

Arcadia Road (Heritage Road, Opposite) - Arcadia Road offers both residents and visitors a quiet and peaceful drive under the shady canopy of the majestic Rain trees.

The Japanese Association

Kheam Hock Park - was considered a suitable pilot for such a project (Creating Ways for Nature to Travel) because the existing vegetation supports common animal life such as birds and butterflies, and can also serve as a potential green connector linking the Central Catchment Nature Reserve to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Thus, increased planting in the area would help to attract more varieties of wildlife to the area and enhance wildlife connectivity, and hopefully encourage these wildlife to move beyond Kheam Hock.

Sime Road WW2 POW camp - Sime Road Camp is the site of the former combined operational headquarters of the British Army and Royal Air Force during World War II. Located along Sime Road, the 470-acre site was used as an internment camp during the Japanese Occupation. After the surrender of the Japanese in 1945, the camp was closed the following year and the buildings subsequently demolished. The National Heritage Board designated the site of Sime Road Camp a historic site in 2002.

Concrete Bunker - Sime Road Pillbox

Macritchie Reservoir Park - A popular spot for nature lovers and exercise enthusiasts, this park is a gateway to Singapore’s nature reserves. It borders Singapore’s first reservoir and the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Soo Chew Walk Playground

Windsor Nature Park - The 75-hectare Windsor Nature Park is a green buffer for the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Visitors can explore new trails including the specially curated Hanguana Trail and the Drongo Trail. The Hanguana Trail is lined with rare native plants, some of which are named after Singapore. The Drongo Trail features a sub-canopy walk where visitors can catch a glimpse of the fauna that are found under the canopy level, in addition to examining the understorey of the regenerating secondary forest.

Discover other highlights of Windsor Nature Park such as a marsh habitat and several freshwater streams by hiking on the restored trails and new boardwalks. Visitors can also join workshops to learn about Singapore’s natural heritage and ongoing biodiversity conservation efforts at the visitor pavilion.

Lower Peirce Reservoir Park - The Lower Peirce Reservoir, Singapore's second-oldest reservoir, was built by impounding the upper reaches of the Kallang River and was commissioned in 1912. The forest that lines its banks is considered a mature secondary rainforest and is still dotted with numerous rubber trees and oil palms – visible reminders of a past when vast areas of Singapore were covered with plantations.
