1950s-1980s The "Thousand Buddha Hill" : The hilltop, previously known as part of the Mt Faber ridge, was known as Mount Washington 华盛顿山 or  "Thousand Buddha Mountain" (Qian Fo Shan 千佛山) due to a large "Thousand Buddha Hall" temple 千佛寶殿 structure built there, There is also a seven-headed serpent Buddha statue 七头蛇罗汉 said to be from Wat Sut Temple in Thailand before the garden was constructed, but no more since the 80s.
