The Cluny Swamp was a swamp land first recorded in the annual reports of the Singapore Botanic Gardens in 1889.It was Penned by Henry Nicolas Ridley, Director of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
1888-1911, that a low-lying swamp grounds had been noted in this site.
