Spot these Migratory Birds at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve! The Migratory Bird Trail is an oval Track of 1.95 km long. Starting from the main bridge and with the ponds at the very middle. Along the trail, there are five hides.

Main Bridge

The route starts at the Main Bridge which crosses Sungei Buloh Besar. This is a great place for fish-watching.

Island

As you leave the Main Bridge to enter the Reserve, walk towards the pond on your left. There is an island in the middle of the pond formed out of mangrove tree roots. Here, you might spot large Water Monitors basking, and Little Herons waiting motionless on roots near the water.

WHIMBREL (NUMENIUS PHAEOPUS)

The Whimbrel is another frequent winter visitor and passage migrant to the reserve. You can recognise the bird by its bluish-grey legs and down-curved beak, about twice the length of its head.
