Sandwiched between two national monuments, the Thian Hock Keng temple and Nagore Durgha Shrine, it’s a lovely spot with shady trees, a small pond, and benches. The most interesting feature is the metal sculptures illustrating scenes from the lives of Singapore’s immigrants during the 1800s.

Telok Ayer Landing Site

Telok Ayer was originally a bay, and the shoreline came right up to Telok Ayer Street. During the 19th Centery immigrants disembarked on the sandy beach here and gave to thanks for their safe passage at one of the many nearby temple or shrines.
